Three regions reported their best cocoa grind in two years: Asia +29.2% against a survey of +15%, Europe’s first rise since 2024, and Brazil and Malaysia pointing the same way. The market traded through its September highs on Wednesday and sold them by Friday for the third week running, with producers adding to shorts and ICE US stocks at a two-year high. New York closed at $5,645 and London at £4,221, both little changed on the week after an 8% range.
Coffee moved on what can be delivered: arabica rose 6.5% to 305.6¢ as ICE certified stocks fell back towards September’s 27-year low. The full edition covers Ivory Coast arrivals, Brazil’s flowering rains, positioning and the week ahead, including the Africa Cocoa Finance & Investment Forum in New York on 26 October.
