Ed is an investment veteran who served for almost 15 years as a partner and a senior officer for several funds between the United Kingdom, Sub-Saharan Africa and the GCC. His experience spans across Debt and Equity Funds Set-Up and Management, Private and Capital Markets Deal Structuring, Operations, etc.
Ed launched Lundy Investors in 2018, the Company aims to provide Investment Management and Advisory services across Emerging Markets.
Ed has focused on the Middle East and African Markets for around a decade, having been one of the founding partners of MENA Capital in 2006, which was the first dedicated hedge fund for the MENA region, whilst at MENA and then with IMM Group in Dubai Ed traded and managed various investment strategies, including event driven, arbitrage, alpha generating shorting, portfolio hedging and short term trading. Across MENA Capital and IMM Ed was involved in raising over $250mn in assets from international investors.
Most recently Ed worked for a Commodity Trade Finance Fund in London, acting as COO, with focus on implementing portfolio construction and valuation policies, handling the firms NPL policy and was responsible for funding transactions and raising assets for the short-term Trade Finance Fund.
His previous experience includes Trading for Balfour Capital, a Japanese Equity Hedge Fund, before which he worked on the Derivatives desk at Aviva Asset Management (now part of JP Morgan) and Bear Stearns.
Ed has a Master’s in Finance from the London Business School and is a Master Financial Technical Analyst.
